Project 3: The hideout retreat
Task:
For the final task, Students must design a habitable retreat for themselves and those who have similar interests. Students are required to design a Hideout Retreat at the National Botanical Garden, Shah Alam. This Hideout Retreat should include:
1. Project 2 (Nature Observation Post)
2. Resting Areas
3. Working Areas
4. Recreational Areas
And supporting spaces like toilets and pantries within the built-up space of maximum. The structure should be within the
built-up space of a maximum of 150sqm and be able to accommodate 4 defined people with interest, including yourself comfortably for a short period (2-3 days).
The unit must correspond to the immediate tropical site context. The relationship between your design and the context is important in making your architecture unique to its landscape and activity. The design of the structure must demonstrate your design intentions through the application of architectural principles, materiality and constructability in creating a memorable spatial experience for the user(s).

This project challenged me to design a structure for multiple users including myself, in hindsight, I focused more on some aspects while neglecting others. As a result, my final building was not as i had expected. I will take on what I have learnt to my future projects.
