Project 2: NATURE OBSERVATORY POST

Task:

For this assignment, we were split into smaller groups to design a nature observatory post in Taman Botanical Negara Shah Alam. The primary objective is to create a space that allows visitors to appreciate and observe the beauty and life of a chosen subject within the garden's diverse ecosystem. The design should be tailored to provide an immersive and educational experience, enhancing the connection between visitors and nature.
Each observatory post should accommodate two persons comfortably, with a designated area of 50 square meters. Students are encouraged to consider innovative design concepts, materials, and technologies that promote sustainability, accessibility, and environmental stewardship. The final design should reflect thoughtful planning, creativity, and a deep understanding of both architectural principles and the natural environment.

For this project, we had to work together, building on precedent studies and playing with architectural principles to achieve the structure we had. Through this project, I found that having key aspects or features that I wanted to highlight was instrumental in determining how I wanted the structure to turn out.
